    Hi there,

    Iw as hoping someone could offer some advice on which IEM headphones might be the best purchase. Unfortunately I don't have any means of trialling these so will have to take a chance based on feedback.

    Until recently I had a set of Klipsch X10i headphones which have recently broken. Having been quite happy with these for the last few years I now want something of at least equal quality but fancy a change and an upgrade if possible. Budget is up to £250 maximum.

    Current options that I am looking for advice on are:

    Shure SE425 @£200
    Westone UM2 @240
    EarSonics SM2 v2 @225

    Shure's are least favorite (not sure why!).

    All of the above have replaceable cables (a must) and all look to be of a similar size/ fit/ comfort level. All also a similar cost and get great reviews.

    I guess choice is therefore based solely on sound quality or build quality if any of the above are lacking in this area. Looking for best overall sound quality, without too much emphasis on any one frequency band.

    Any assistance much appreciated.

    Tom

    Only other consideration may be warranty on each. As I understand it the warranty on each is as follows:

    Shure = 2 years
    Westone = 1 year (or 2 if registered, not sure if this applies in the UK)
    EarSonics = ??? no idea. Assume at least a year.

    Can anyone confirm the warranty details?

    Tom
