I’ve just received my Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 3’s and was wondering if I've received an aeroplane adapter or not.

In the box is a short 3.5mm stereo plug to socket lead with a plane on the socket block.

Can anyone advise what it’s for? An airline adapter would have twin mono plugs.

    Earphone airline adapter

Yes, this is an attenuator for use on an aeroplane entertainment system.

It is designed to reduce the level of the audio signal on a planes entertainment system. Ultimate Ears earphones are highly sensitive and can get overloaded by high output sources. This attenuator prevents the earphones from being damaged by airline systems.
