    Hi,friends:D
Been reading and studying, and for the first post...:)
I decided to treat myself with some Hi-Fi experience.
    Im tired of shittytiti music.
Was thinking in a 400$ price range.

I was thinking of getting these 180$ ebay:
    Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO Headphones Review - Over-Ear - HeadphoneInfo.com

Or Koss Portapro for starters if i spend all my cash on other gear:/ 30$ ebay
    I listen to classic-pop-jazz-rock-metal,mostly last 3.

Now since im new in this i noticed this thingie,as for player/amp/dac 190$ebay:
REVIEW: QLS QA-350 solid state transport - amazing sound and versatility! - Head-Fi.org Community

Than i had a thought why not (for a few bucks more) buy separate player, dac, tube amp.
Than i could listen not only wav but flac,mp3...
Now i didnt get some things straight about amps, dac....
If i use player doesn't it have it own amp dac and stuff?
Whats the point of running it thru better gear later? Oo
Is there any el cheapo player that sends only digital inf.into dac, then it converts it into analog, than it goes into amp, then phones?
Now im mostly puzzled by the above...
I would want a player that sends only digital to DAC than it goes into tube headphone amp... Its probably possible :/ XD

Now was thinking of something like this for the amp 50$ ebay:
MUSE Class A Hybrid Tube Headphone Amplifier 6N11 NEW - eBay (item 120576181081 end time Dec-24-10 23:01:25 PST)

    Cheap,good components some mosfets(elna caps,some shiny stuff...)
But most of the DAC i found have built in amp.
As you can see i want to use tube amp,so is there any way of looping the DAC built in amp?

Anyways any info and help would be.Hmm, well, helpfull :D

Cant wait to fix it all up:D

    Hi PRCpower,

Excellent headphone choice DT990 are fantastic, I prefer the DT880 but that is just personal preference.

I am sorry to report that I had a go with one of these little tube amps and it was quite poor. The way I ended up listening to it was that a customer got one and some HD600s and he thought the headphones were damaged but it actually turned out to be the really weird EQ of this amp. I can't say that these little amps are all like this but the guy I'm talking about bought another amp so...

This thing looks excellent, I would love to have a go with one but I have not so I can't offer an opinion.

I know that a valve amp is a very desirable thing but most good solid state DAC amps will be much better than lower priced valve amps and most DAC amps have the ability to bypass the headphone amp meaning you could save up for a much better valve amp and use the DAC amp as a standalone DAC.

There are not many Solid state players out there with a digital output, I don't have one I could recommend from my own use but have a look at this all in one beast from Germany - maybe this could be an all in one solution?

    Colorfly

I would love one of these! :)

    Wow is that a player!
    It looks great!
    But MSRP is 600euros :D

Well there has been a development.
I decided to go with E-MU 0404 as for DAC.
Because i was thinking of getting one for my guitar playing...
Is there any better similar external out there? Oo

So those little chinese tube amps from ebay suck?
    But they look so cool:(
There are many types all similar maybe it was the worst one?

    Oh,and.
It seems like feeding the DAC will be from a PC.
    Cheapest solution....
So i got the phones,PC even DAC if you guys cant recommend a better one.
Only thing missing is a good amp.
I would like some el cheapo quality tube amp, even DIY kit.
Or a good solid state amp maybe?

When I saw the little Chinese tube amps my immediate thought was "I want one!" but the one I tried was terrible, some may be better than others.

If you wait until the iBasso D12 is readily available I'm sure some will be selling their D10
