    Hi all,

    I'm looking for a set of Headphones mainly for usage with my PC; listening to music and possibly gaming. (I don't require microphone function).

    I may sometimes use them with my Ipod Touch / Nano.

    I'm aiming at the £50 mark but I have no problem going up to £75 if the extra £25 is greatly beneficial.

    Through reviewing other threads whittled the choice down to the following two;

    Fostex TH-7
    Fostex TH-7 Dynamic Closed Studio Headphones in Black (TH-7B)

    *edit: I havent quite made my mind up about the purple!

    Shure SRH240A
    Shure SRH240A Professional Closed Back Headphones (SRH 240)

    Ideally I would like something with a thick well protected cable.

    I am open to further suggestions. I do enjoy quite a lot of bass but don't want the sound to suffer for this. I'm also not too fussed about sound leakage (if that's the correct term!).

    I would say the absolute maximum continuous wear would be about 4 hours.

    Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi Twizted

    I really really like the Fostex TH-7 - Let me reveal to you that completely black ones will be available soon! Stay in touch with us as we should get them in the next couple of weeks. I prefer this model to the Shure SRH240 based on the sound (neither is perfect but this has the fuller sound) but there is also just something I really do find appealing about the Fostex.
