Sooo looking to get a nice set of headphones.
I mainly listen to metal, rap and some electronica.
    Currently narrowed it down to:
    Audio Technica M50
    Sennheiser HD 280 Pro

    and maybe the Grado 80i

Any others I should be thinking about?
I'm also finding it really hard to find anywhere to demo headphones - any ideas?

    Hi MattDX

Add the Shure SRH840 to this list. Taking a guess from your tastes and certainly if you want a tough headphone you can take anywhere it is between the SRH840 and the Audio Technica M50. These are well built closed backs, suitable for listening anywhere with low impedance drivers which will find decent volume from most devices. Both have an excellent contemporary sound which is compulsive and rich. Why not have a look at these two as well.
