This thing looks very cool. Sounds as though it will be cheaper than any of the current crop. Have you heard the AlgoRhythm Solo? Just wondering if you have any idea how the iStreamer matches up?

Anyone who is thinking "Why isn't there a headphone amp built into this thing so it's all in one box?" should look at this -

I don't think I will have the opportunity to hear any other DAC's for Apple devices, at least any time soon. But I am looking at several DAC's for computers that will take the computer USB signal and then feed into the same headphone amp I'm using. That way I should get a good comparison to how well this i-DAC sounds compared to a regular DAC. Based on what I've heard so far I'm on the positive side of the ledger sound-wise, i.e. the iStreamer is doing more good than harm, so it seems a reasonable buy for what it costs. One thing I do need to get is a better Apple cable, but no rush on that since it's a fairly short cable.
