My £100 studio headphones finally give up after 4 years of service.

So i am looking for something to fill these areas.

    1. Movies (lots of action, explosions etc)
    2. Music (27611 mp3s and counting raging from classic to trance)
    3. Music Production (computer recording - ie 3 synthesizers & lots of samples into one mixer)

I am looking to spend between £100-150 as i am not in the highest paid job in the world

Any suggestion please, it will be mail order only, so no suggestions to go out and try on a few pairs

    Good all-round headphone

Greetings Flanker37. Welcome to the forum.

    A couple of ideas:

Sennheiser HD25-SP II - reference quality closed back headphones. Balanced sound, with plenty of clarity and good bottom end. Lightweight design ensure long term wearing comfort. Every part replaceable for long service life. Low impedance makes them Easy to drive (even works with an iPod).

Audio Technica ATH-A500 - full size closed back headphone. Extremely comfortable over the ear design. Lots of detail with well balanced bass. Robust build quality. If you can afford it the ATH-A700 is a good step up.
