Hi there, i am looking for some nice build quality headphones for about £50 for my fathers xmas present. He enjoys listening to classical music on his low end denon system.
i am looking at the full size so they completely cover the ear. i have already purchased Audio Technica ATH-PRO5 V from a different retailer and they are completely wrong, being as they are for dj's, build quality is dire and cable is coiled and very short. i would prefere a longer than 1.5 metre cable ie 3m?
Hope you can help regards Ed

Cheers thanks robin, beyerdynamics look like they would be good, what about Audio-Technica ATH-AD300 i know they are £5 more but they look considerable more robust. Are they on par with the beyerdynamics?

The Beyers have a little more weight to the bottom end but these are really quite good if you have a few extra quid. If comfort is one of the more important qualities for him then these are great but if he likes to dance around when he is listening to music the Beyers would suit better:D
