...for at least a year.

Hello :)
I'm looking for some on-ear (or over-ear, if they're not too massive - I've got a small head :/) headphones that will not break after six months.
I've loved/love my portapros, but each pair has conked out after ~6 months (it's just the cord that's broken near the jack - I guess I could try fixing it...). I'm starting to think maybe paying a bit more will ensure less breakage?

So, can anyone recommend any sturdy headphones for ~£50? I'm flexible price-wise, and willing to pay a bit more for genuinely good 'phones. Bonus points if they look snazzy, because I'm shallow like that.

(Sound wise I'm ashamed to admit I'm not too bothered. The bassier the better, but I can't tell the difference between a track @ 32kBps and one at 320kBps. As long as the sound is warm and lovely. :) )

Thanks :D
