    Hello

I am currently using HD650's connected to headphone out on my B&W MM1's connected to my PC.

I want to get an amp and was looking into the G Slee Solo or Novo.

My question is, can I connect the amp up to the MM1 headphone out socket and then HD650's to the amp?

If this is not recommended what are my options?

    Thanks.

    Hi Sssikuk

It isn't really worth adding such a nice amp into a compromised chain of equipment. When you have two volume controls in line you are creating a load of extra distortion - you will have two amps one after the other. I would recommend getting an in-expensive DAC for this purpose, a Fiio E7 would work really well.

Same quality DAC as your MM1, full 16bit CD quality.

You could use this as a standalone mini DAC amp or as just a DAC to supply a desk top sized amp.

Solo is the way go with the HD650 - Sennheiser used to demo the HD650 with the Solo, the pair are well matched and you will hear more detail and control with the Solo over the Novo.
