Just ordered for my eldest son as a christmas prezzie from here some Sennheiser HD558 for his gaming and music. Hope it was the right choice. Am still at a loss what I should get.

    Hi Alan

Nothing wrong with this choice, there are others you could look at but the HD558 has all the characteristics you would need to please your eldest. If you want to have a chat about it feel free to give us a ring, if you want to swap this item that is absolutely fine too:)

    Hi
    Alan

Ive recently invested in some hd 600s and a Bravo v1 tube amp. It is brilliant if your on a budget. I have an old phillips cd player (cdr770) which is a great source, then linked up to the bravo v1 tube amp £32 (this can be a little bright with the factory tube but can be changed or modified)and finally the Sennheiser HD600s £300.
    heres the link:

If you want clarity and natural sound then the HD600s are for you, if you want to upgrade to a better amp then ive heard the bravo ocean is brilliant.

    Bravo Audio

    Hope this helps(just an idea)

    Thanks
    Ash
