    Hi Everyone,

I have got the Beyerdynamic DT880 pro headphones @ 250ohm and I also have the Fiio E7 amp ... but I don't think it's quite powerfull enough to drive my dt880's, although the sound is exceptionally clear. I have a feeling that if I get an amp rated @ 600 ohms in will drive them better .... is this the case or am i being silly?

If it is the case then which amp should i be looking at ... i'm willing to pay up to £200. Will the E9 be a good choice seeing as i already have the E7? Thanks in advance. Ally

    Hi Allyminium

You are definitely not being silly, the E9 will really help. You are probably steruggling a bit for headroom especially on the quieter tracks. There is probably a little bit of weakness in the sound now. The E9 is really underated, it is very capable and an excellent companion to the E7.
