Japanese audio experts Final have added the Sonorous II to their acclaimed headphone range with the same design techniques, technology and tonal characteristics as the company's flagship headphones. With different materials, lighter weight and lower price tag, the Sonorous II still exhibits stellar sound as expected by Final.
Sonorous II employs the same driver technology as the flagship model and excels in the high frequency harmonic overtones, achieving high resolution sound. Sonorous' dynamic driver has been integrated with the front plate to help keep vibration in check. The plate is polycarbonate strengthened with 30% glass rather than machined aluminium used for the Sonorous X.
Sonorous headphones incorporate Final's Balancing Air Movement system that optimises the airflow around the whole driver resulting in a powerful and balanced listening experience. Sonorous II's closed earcup design and full-size earpads offer superior sound isolation against external noise. The soft padded headband allows the Sonorous to offer highest levels of wearing comfort for long listening sessions.
Superior high frequency presentation.
Precision Sound
Sonorous II headphones employs a driver unit integrated with the front plate, which results in resonance being suppressed and clear sound quality. With the same titanium diaphragm used in the SONOROUS X, this model has been tuned to produce crystal clear high frequency harmonic overtones with smooth and balanced sound.
Balancing Air Movement
BAM technology mechanism optimises the air movement inside the housing and controls unwanted vibrations for balanced, natural sound that reduces unwanted sibilant high-frequency sounds. Sonorous II has been tuned to an extremely accurate level based on new knowledge expertise gained from the development of Sonorous X.
Superior Craftsmanship
To achieve a high level of precision with the hard ABS housing, simulations were carried out until the appropriate level of fluidity with respect to the moulding material was achieved. The rough textured finish suppresses unnecessary vibrations.
Improved Earpads
To achieve a superior fit Final have used synthetic leather earpads, which has an equal amount of flexibility both horizontally and vertically as real leather and have chosen a sponge with just the right amount of flexibility letting the Sonorous II achieve clear sound with highest levels of wearing comfort and isolation.
