I’ve just received my Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 3’s and was wondering if I've received an aeroplane adapter or not.
In the box is a short 3.5mm stereo plug to socket lead with a plane on the socket block. Can anyone advise what it’s for? An airline adapter would have twin mono plugs. |

Yes, this is an attenuator for use on an aeroplane entertainment system.
It is designed to reduce the level of the audio signal on a planes entertainment system. Ultimate Ears earphones are highly sensitive and can get overloaded by high output sources. This attenuator prevents the earphones from being damaged by airline systems.
