Hi, new to this forum, hi to all!
I'm looking for some advice on purchasing some new headphones... I've been slowly increasing the quality of my headphones for a while now. My HD 205s have served me well, but sometime around xmas I want to invest in a portable headphone amp (6g ipod volume limits are ridiculous) and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations when it came to some high quality headphones. My budget would be between £100 and £160. I've had a look at the various options available, but i neither have the time or money to try different ones out.... any help would be much appreciated! Thanks! ![]() Alex. |

Greetings Alex! Welcome to the forum.
The Sennheiser HD205's are closed back. Is there any reason you require closed back headphones? Also do you need your new headphones to be as portable as the HD205's? I'm a big fan of the Audio-Technica range. The AD700 and A700 are both very nice sounding headphones. The bass response won't knock your socks off, but the midrange and high detail is exquisite.
