I want to listen to music via my Pc and in-ear phones (Hifiman Re-Zero), so I'm looking at the FiiO E7 USB DAC and Headphone Amplifier. Many reviews of portable amps suggest that a huge difference in sound quality can be achieved by a good quality line out cable. Is the cable supplied with this model ok, or should I look at getting a seperate line out, and if so, which would you reccomend? Also, FiiO do something called the L7 line out adapter which goes with the E7. Do I need this? Many thanks.

The FiiO E7 only comes with a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable, but with the addition of a FiiO L3 dock cable you can hook the E7 up to your iPod to use the better signal.
You'll find that FiiO E7 will particularly help harder to drive headphones (normally with a higher impedance) that the iPod/iPhone finds difficult to drive. The FiiO L7 adds a line out from the DAC to the E7. See the FiiO L7 page on their site for a little more info.
