Default iBasso D10 Inputs and Outputs FAQ

We've had questions from a number of customers about how the iBasso D10 inputs and outputs work.

Below is an extract from the instructions that will hopefully clear things up:

Introduction to the iBasso D10 MCU

The iBasso D10 has a dedicated MCU to manage inputs and outputs. When the D10 is turned on the MCU will automatically search the digital inputs one by one in the following sequence:

1) Coaxial input
2) Optical input
3) USB input

Once the MCU finds a signal it will lock to the selected input and pass the signal to the internal decoding circuit. At this time if there is a cable inserted into the AUX IN/OUT socket this port will work as a line out and the HEADPHONE out will be bypassed. If there is no cable inserted into the AUX IN/OUT socket the decoded digital signal will be passed to the HEADPHONE output.

Analog Signal Processing

When there is an analogue signal connected to the AUX IN/OUT socket the D10 works as a standalone headphone amplifier. In this mode the battery life is extended to approximately 30 hours per charge.

If you want the AUX IN/OUT port to work as a line in make sure there are no digital S/PDIF input signals connected.
