hi just a short note, i recently orded an e1 amp for my 16gb nano as the volume level is very low due to a french eu directive to cap the volume level to avoid ear damage to the sensitive french ears. anyway the e1 is excellent volume levels are great now with no loss in sound quality. the unit is very small and clips on to ur shirt/jacket as well as a volume control it also has pause and next/previous track buttons , saves u fumbling around in your pocket. so all in all im very pleased and would recomend it to any new i-pod nano owners who are miffed with the volume level.

Yep, the FiiO E1 is a rather cool little headphone amp. The fact it takes the signal from the dock connector and the audio controls make it a unique device.

Yup. Great little device. The rocker switch taking all of the front face of the E1 is a bit annoying when you want to use the clip though. I bet they rethink that for the next iteration...
