Question "Powerful, bass-driven stereo sound."

I'm seeing this in the description of a lot of the earphones i'm looking at..... and have no idea what it means.

Can anyone give me a simple explanation?

Also, I'm looking for some earphones for up to £30 if anyone wants to recommend me any.

Thanks
Kieren

Default Powerful, bass-driven stereo sound

I'm afraid the phrase is a marketing line, which doesn't mean a lot.

Many of the Sennheiser range include this phrase in their product descriptions. Sennheiser headphones and earphones normally reproduce bass frequencies well - it's their signature sound.

I would suggest reading some reviews of the headphones/earphones as this may give better idea of how they sound.

Shaun is spot on, simple explanation is marketing, bass driven sound tends to mean nothing else, all bass which is usually very muddy sounding and which clouds over the mids and the treble at least thats what i've found.
As for a recommendation well thats easy soundMAGIC PL30! £30 spot on,you will not regret it i promise.
Check out my review on them.
Probably the best price to performance ratio in the history of earphones.
