sennheiser earphone advice anyone? and comparison?

i never liked ipod earphones. they're not durable and they have awful sound and bass.
now, im looking for decent earphones for my ipod touch and i found two:

by comparing both, which would be better in sound quality?
these are classic style earphone. i dislike the in-ear ones cos they're extremely damaging to the hair cells in your ears and can cause tinnitus when damaged. so just stick to those two.
any advice? esp to those who have used either itmes?
