Hi Shaun, great to see your posts here. I think for me it's been very helpful especially to see you write nice reviews on headphones so it kinda save our time and money from buying things that we may not like and end up regretting. Prior to this, If you'd ask me about personal listening devices like ipod, i'd say i only use it to jack it up to my beautiful In Car Entertainment set up which i take a lot of pride in. Of course that was before i had to sell my car and the whole set up to pay for my education. The only thing that's left with me is my ipod nano.. haha. AS a person being reduced to a Ipod nano i definitely am taking more notice to its earphones that came with it and as you'd have guessed, im definitely in need of an upgrade.
I've have been given the privilage to test out a few sets which includes various shure from the premium ones to the average ones. Then i also tried cosmetic headphones such as the vibe but what really gave me the wow factor was the Klipsch Image X10 which i saw you did a review of it agaisnt the Sleek Audio.
Well, i've not got the chance to try out Sleek audio but Klipsch is definitely good. Down side of the X10 is the price being way too expensive just for a pair of headphones.. I mean I used to spend alot on ice especially on the drivers (best being alpine's F1 Status.. alpine's version of danish speaker maker scansspeak) but seriously for something like headphones which is prone to the hardiest conditions and environment you can ever imagine of it being exposed to, not to mention the nature of it being broken or cable snapped after awhile. So you see my reasoning of not buying an expensive headphones but having said that, i wish to go for an upgrade from the standard ipod headphones. Was thinking of Sennheiser cx 300 (heard that there is a new version of it - cx300II or cx300 eco canal something.. im not too sure saw it on amazon.) or the cheaper version of the x10 which is the x5 (heard that with the x5 it kinda improved on the mids that u said was lacking in the x10). Anyway.. was hoping that you could give me some ideas about those 2 products or maybe just recommend a new product altogether? What ever it is.. I'm also hoping that you could give me a good discount.. especially if i'd to decide on the X5..haha.
Cheers mate.
