Hi, new guy here, how's things?
I wanted to upgrade my Sennheiser cx-500s and I've found a couple of good deals on the above mentioned headphones: Denon AH-C751 = £69.99 ($103.68) Shure SE310 = £79.99 ($118.52) I'll be using them in conjuction with a Graham Slee Voyager portable amp and my ipod/PC. Which would you reccommend? Thanks. |

At the £80 point we would definitely recommend the brand new Phonak Audeo Perfect Bass 012 over the two earphones you mentioned. The Phonak also responds to amping quite nicely.
The Shure SE310 and Denon AH-C751 are both quite old designs now and earphone technology has moved on significantly since then. The Phonak 012 uses a much more modern balanced armature design that offers way more clarity than dynamic drivers. Dynamic drivers sound quite muddy in comparison to a balanced armature design.
