Default TX-400 lifetime?

I bought a set of Comply TX-400s to go with my IE6s, but the tips don't seem to last.
I am on my second set of tips from amazon (I sent the first set back), but these don't seem any better.

I am getting around 2-3 weeks (30-40 hours) from each pair of tips.

This seems very low, what do you get out of yours?

When you say they don't last, what is happening?

In my experience they last a good 2 - 3 months before losing their elasticity. I also prefer black Comply Foam tips as they do not get discoloured by ear wax. The light grey tips start looking embarrassing rather quickly!

Default

I find that within 2 weeks they start to become very soft and mallable. Once this happens, the foam then starts to just fall apart. (See attached photo for my last set of tips.)

That is very odd. I believe we've had only a single report of something similar.

Do you still have the packaging? If so I would definitely suggest contacting Comply Foam directly to see if there is a problem with a particular batch.
