I bought the Jambox at the Apple store, and have used it a few times. As a desktop speaker, it's OK in most respects, lacking bass below about 50 hz, and having only minimal stereo separation. But it has one interesting property - it can fill a room with enough sound that you can walk into other rooms and it sounds like a big hifi is playing in the other room. It is the most remarkable sound I've heard from such a small box, but if you were to use it in a conference situation for playing speech, you might need a treble boost since the Jambox is tuned for music and is not "bright" sounding.
