Building on a line of award-winning headphones, the updated Grado SR80e headphones have been equipped with fully redesigned driver and housing. Using a new 4-conductor cable, Grado has also sought to improve headphones' resolution, giving them the kind of transparency you wouldd expect from a pair of headphones costing twice as much.
The way the SR80e's new driver and plastic housing move air and react to sound vibrations virtually eliminate transient distortions. This allows the signal flow over the new cable to reproduce sound that has improved tight control of the upper and lower range of the frequency spectrum, while supporting Grado's world renowned midrange. The SR80e will produce a sound that is pure Grado, with warm harmonic colours, rich full bodied vocals, excellent dynamics, and an ultra-smooth top end.
Grado SR80e are very efficient and can be driven by the output of most portable players and inexpensive home equipment. A good quality dedicated headphone amplifier will help improve the overall control and detail of the highs, add some heft and authority to the bottom end. A headphone amp will also provide a slightly deeper, more expansive dimension to the overall extension.
The way it was meant to sound.
Built on the same characteristics as the predecessor, the SR80e is a touch more superior with an incorporated 4 conductor cable and larger ear cushions providing an even more open soundstage. Bass response is improved resulting in the enhancement of the overall detail.

Robust and Comfortable
With swivel earpieces, they also fit snugly against your ears, as well as folding flat for ease of storage. Their construction is tough enough to take a daily commute while still offering long-term comfort.
