I'll get straight to it, they are expensive, but they ad worth it!
The design is ergonomic, they fit nicely in the ear, personaly I think they are light and comfortable. I like the design, they look expensive.
The cable is replaceable, but as of yet I have not needed to replace it, shure seemed to have listened to the customers, the cable is long, strong and they clip into the headphone firmly, but have an added bonus of being completely rotatable! This reduces the strain on the cable! (good job to, as the cable alone, is £35!)
There are so many buds to chose from, personaly I love the memory foam buds! When you put them in, it's like your closing the to the world!
Ok now the sound! If you listen to low quality bit rate tracks (anything below 256kbps) then you'll probably wish you had not purchased them, as theses beautiful headphone, really show you the inadiquasise of the compressed file! Personaly I try to listen to lossless files. I have had many expensive headphone from bang and olufsen, ultimate ears super fi EB 5, Sony mdr v700dj, shure e4c, sennheiser ie8s and these are by far the best yet! I hear things I have not heard in other headphone.
The bass is precise, warm and does not cloud the other frequencies, the mids are the best I've heard! It's like having the artist singing to you personally! I have an eclectic taste in music, and these compliment them all. The only problem I have found is that it highlights the flaws of my iPod classic, the highs from the iPod can sometimes sound harsh, however when I listen to these headphone from my amp, they are simply amazing! I believe the only competition are made by grado! Hope this helps
