PL30 Experiance
My experience of the PL30 is an unusual one forming a love/hate relationship. The sound quality of the pl30 is brilliant; within the price range it can’t get any better. The PL30 has a knob on the side, on first use there is a slight increase in base as the sound frequency is fresh within the neurological pathway of your ear canals but as you become accustomed to the headphones you would no longer hear any difference. The build design is brilliant for sports and the clip on makes sure that they don't fall out although I would recommend buying foam ear-buds in addition to the ones supplied as they tend to change shape drastically. The overall appearance of the PL30 is very aesthetic. The only downside is the unpredictability of the build quality. Many users have been satisfied with the build but I have gone through 3 builds. Regardless the sound quality had such an impact that I was willing to give the PL30 another 2 chances sadly with no avail. I would recommend these if you are a docile user but not for the intensive user. If anything my experience has demonstrated the brilliant costumer service offered by "hifi headphones". I have only had to make a single call and within 5min I would receive an email with a return code and within the next 3 days I would have received a fresh pair. So I would say that these headphones are a gamble, your lucky or your not.

excellent but not durable
I bought these headphones because, thanks to a genetic quirk, I have mutant ears, which (whilst not visibly different) don't seem to fit any other headphones I have ever bought. For that reason I have been loath to invest in an expensive pair and risk them not fitting me.
I was in luck with the PL30s, they really fit rather well and the sound quality was excellent. Sadly due to the lack of cable protection around the jack they barely lasted 6 months. In my opinion a bit of hard protection around the wire would make these the best headphones I have ever used

SoundMagic PL30
Firstly lets talk about the service offered by HIFI Headphones, I ordered them on Monday 22 Feb and they arrived Tuesday 23 Feb in the morning. At every stage of the order/dispatch process I got update emails informing me what was going on. Excellent service. The Website offered 3rd party reviews of these headphones which I have to say are very usefull as I would always want to compare a number of headphones at a time if in a shop.
The phones are exactly as described both by the website and the 3rd party reviews. Very clear sound strong bass for in ear phones and well made. Fitting them was easier than I was expecting and the range of buds supplied made getting the correct fit childs play.
