STAX SRS-2170 Classic System Description

STAX SRS-2170 Basic Electrostatic Headphone and Solid State Amplifier System. The basic system is a low cost combination of SR-207 electrostatic headphones and SRM-252S compact amplifier with premium sound and high performance. The SR-207 incorporates the same sound element developed for upper-class STAX models. The LC-OFC cable of the STAX SR-207 allows for clear high-frequency sound and deep, soothing bass. In order to fully drive the balanced operation of the sound element, the STAX SRM-252S driver unit incorporates an all-stage balanced circuit DC amplifier configuration regardless of its compact size.

The STAX SR-207 headphone incorporates a new sound element. The conventional sound element has a simple structure so that the area of the film diaphragm can be used as effectively as possible compared with its external size. Taking full advantage of these conventional features, the new sound element of the STAX SR-207 has been placed in a tough resin case, resulting in the sound to be cleaner and. The thin film has been adopted for the diaphragm, which allows for both rich bass and tantalizing treble.

The STAX SRM-252S amplifier can be connected to CD players, portable audio player and any device with a 3.5mm jack connection. The class-A amplification throughout the stages with no coupling capacitors reproduces the finest nuances of music.
