Large dynamic drivers in the core of the RS1e together with an 8 conductor cable design combine with the open design to create signature Grado sound with natural and lifelike response and a full-bodies sound image. With a frequency response that ranges from 12Hz to - 30kHz and carefully matched drivers the RS1e provides a smooth, controlled and coherent sound with highly detailed dynamics.
Grado have crafted the housing of the RS1e with a different species of mahogany than the previous version using an intricate curing process that enhances the sound quality while also refreshing the visual aspect of these headphones.

Reference Sound
Grado RS1e incorporates large 50mm dynamic drivers and an 8 conductor cable design in an open-air configuration. The impressive result is a smooth, controlled and consistent sound with highly detailed dynamics with wide frequency response a driver matching to 0.05dB.
Crafted Mahogany
Utilising a different species of hand-crafted mahogany than the preceding model, and a complex maturing process the RS1e provides optimised tonal qualities while giving them a fresh look.
Redesigned Cable
Grado has also designed an eight-conductor cable using a high purity copper that improves control and stability of the total range of the frequency spectrum.
Comfortable Design
Crafted with luxury wood housing and equipped with large foam-padded earcups and signature Grado leather-covered headband with individually adjustable slides in order to adjust the fit for perfect comfort.
