HiFiMAN has taken all the essential features of the hailed HE-400 and improved upon them. With enhanced planar magnetic driver design the HE-400i offer a more transparent and spacious presentation. The lighter weight and re-designed comfortable earpads and headband add to the absolute audiophile listening experience.
The HIFIMAN HE-400i are high quality, full size planar magnetic headphones designed for critical listening in the home or studio. Unlike dynamic drivers used in most headphones and speakers, planar drivers use thin flexible diaphragms with voice coils etched onto their surface rather than a voice coil attached to a cone.
HiFiMAN HE-400i are lighter than the strapping HE-400 design and features a suspended headband connected on two sides by the band structure. This, along with its driver housing design makes the headphone much lighter and airy than the previous generation.

HIFIMAN HE-400i is a full-size planar magnetic headphone intended for high performance listening in the home or studio. With a high sensitivity level, remarkable for planar magnetic headphones, the HE-400i requires less power and can easily be driven with most low powered devices.
Superior Cable
With premium cable comprising of a Crystalline metal with oxygen free copper and silver, as with all HiFiMAN headphones ,the HE-400i features symmetrical wiring, where in each driver has it’s own separate audio cable resulting in lower crosstalk between each channel.
Improved Comfort Levels
The HE-400i is 30% lighter than the predecessor allowing the listener to comfortably enjoy music for hours on end with minimal listener fatigue. With newly-designed headband and edged hybrid FocusPad earpads, the HE-400i provides both increased comfort and improved sound quality.
Sharp Design
The gloss ear cups are finished in a smoky grey, Mylar finish gives the HE-400i a striking contemporary look.
