A new player on the scene, iBasso DX120 fully balanced high-performance digital audio player takes its place in the iBasso DAP line-up. After lengthy research and development, the iBasso engineers have created the lowest distortion levels possible by taking full advantage of the AK4495 DAC chip design. DX120 is a versatile audio player with fully balanced 2.5mm output and standard 3.5mm headphone output.
On the path on obtaining the most of the AK4495 DAC chip which already displays very low harmonic distortion levels, the iBasso engineers have managed previously unreachable distortion levels of -111dB. This powerful player also produces a lot of output power and will drive any headphone load with any headphone type.
In the heart of the DX120 resides a highly optimised Mango operating system that is based on Linux. Able to use direct memory access the processor has been optimised purely for playing music, greatly improving the real-time performance of the entire audio channel, making the sound layer stronger, cleaner and fuller.
Clean and powerful performance.
Lowest Distortion DAC
Focused on obtaining the most of the AK4495 DAC chip which displays very low harmonic distortion levels of -105dB that are usually hard to obtain. However, through hard work and ingenuity, the iBasso engineers have reached previously unreachable distortion levels of -111dB.
Full Synchronisation Technology
With TXCO and PLL synchronisation technology, the DX120 provides low-temperature drift, low-frequency drift, ultra low phase noise and low-frequency stability. PLL technology makes the input clock and output clock nearly identical enhancing the sound experience even further.
Mango Operating System
The new Mango OS is based on Linux, and has been greatly minimised, optimised and is fully dedicated for playing music. The GPU has been implemented for the UI to lower the CPU burden. With the Open GL real-time rendering, the UI response has been greatly improved.
Direct Memory Access
DX120 uses Direct Memory Access (DMA) to process background I/O tasks. This frees up the CPU and allows it to work better and more efficiently for decoding. This also enhances the response speed of the entire audio path increasing real-time performance levels.
Dual Quick Charge
Incorporating two quick charge solutions QC2.0 and MTK-PE enables the DX120 to support 12V, 9V /1.5A quick charge and that is compatible with 5V USB charging over USB-C connection. A full charge takes only 2 hours with quick charge.
