Sennheiser's HD800S are the improved version of the legendary flagship model HD800 that has set high standards in audiophile listening. Now Sennheiser have taken the highly acclaimed headphones to higher realms with invigorated modifications. With the modification of the design the HD800S offers a more extended response and deeper bass extension then the predecessor.
Taking the same approach as IE800, the HD800S has been fitted with an acoustical absorber that allows the HD800S to create a smoother frequency response and deeper bass reproduction. This alteration makes the high frequency more refined and flatter resulting in a more balanced sound. The addition of a balanced XLR cable together with a standard 6.35mm cable further enhances the experience.
Encased in precision engineered stainless steel and positioned at an angle, the transducers simulate a spatial and natural hearing experience. The metal headband and mountings of the HD800S exhibit damping elements that eliminate vibrations for a smooth listening experience. Equipped with special hand-crafted earpads made of soft microfibre the HD800S are comfortable to wear, even for extended periods of time.

Improvements
Sennheiser HD800S has been equipped with an acoustical absorber and as a result the frequency response is more extended and smoother with fewer peaks. The sub-bass is also more extended with deeper expansion, and the addition of an XLR terminated balanced cable further enhances the sound image of the HD800S.
