Now onto the performance: absolutely outstanding. The nano iDSD BL brings music to life with rich, detailed, and dynamic sound. Whether I was listening through a pair of IEMs or full-size headphones, it delivered crystal-clear resolution and an impressively wide soundstage. The bass is deep but never muddy, mids are lush and natural, and the treble is crisp without being fatiguing.
The built-in Burr-Brown DAC is a real star here – capable of decoding everything from MP3s to full-blown DSD256 and PCM 384kHz formats. You really do hear the difference, especially with high-resolution tracks. There’s also iFi’s XBass and 3D+ analogue processing – subtle, tasteful enhancements that add extra oomph and spatial realism when desired.
