A warm energetic timbre, extremely well balanced sound, slightly laid back and very immersive. Great sound stage, particularly for a closed back. Whilst heavy, they are extremely comfortable especially over long listening sessions. Very revealing at low volumes too. Whist not overly hard to drive, they absolutely benefit from a decent and fairly powerful amplifier and dac as with these, they really do show off their complete range and shine. Anything less and you will be missing out.
If you prefer a warm sound that is still revealing and relaxing then these are ideal and will provide hours of listening pleasure.
My only gripe is that they only come with a 4 pin xlr connector at the amp end so if your amp does opt have one of these connectors, which mine doesn't, you have to use the adapter provided to allow for a single ended connection. This makes the cable incredibly bulky, awkward and cumbersome whilst I would have preferred them to come with a second single ended cable or at least the option to purchase one.
Even so, I am still giving these headphones a 5 star review as they sound so good.
